AViz, the Atomistic Simulation
Visualization software is a software package developed
by the Computational-Physics group at the Technion.
It provide a painless way to visualize ball-and-stick models (and others) using a very
simple file format and friendly interface.
AViz uses a proximity-based algorithm to generate bonds between atoms in a data file.
While this works quite well for the visualization of crystals and some molecules, it is unsuitable
for the visualization of polymers which generally have a chain-like structure.
The work done on this project will add another bonding mode to AViz in which bonds will
only be formed between sequential atoms.
The results of the project include:
- Modified AViz code and a documentation of the changes.
- A simple usage guide.
- Example data files illustrating the new feature.
